The candidate is the Chief Executive Officer of Progress Residential. She was previously President, Chief Executive Officer and Trustee of Borderplex Community Trust from 2013 to 2014 responsible for repositioning the El Paso, Texas-based commercial real estate company into a leading regional provider of multifamily real estate products targeted at the rapidly growing base of culturally distinct and historically underserved Mexican-Americans. Prior to this, she was President of European Operations and Managing Director of Archstone BV, a wholly owned Netherlands-based subsidiary of Archstone (NYSE: ASN) that operated and invested in residential real estate outside of the US.  Archstone was privatized and ultimately sold to Arlington, Virginia-based AvalonBay Communities Inc. (NYSE: AVB) and Chicago-based Equity Residential (NYSE: EQR).  Prior to moving to the Netherlands, the candidate was Executive Vice President of National Operations, responsible for corporate services, including human resources, training and development, marketing and communications, business development and research. She was also actively involved in the company’s operations and technology-related initiatives. While at Archstone, she held a variety of senior positions in the areas of business development, marketing and communications and national operations. The candidate served as an Independent Director of FelCor Lodging Trust (NYSE: FCH) from March 2016 to August 2017. She received her MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley, and her Bachelor’s degree from Stanford University.
