The candidate most recently served as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and as a member of the Board of Directors of First Potomac Realty Trust (formerly NYSE: FPO). He joined the company in June of 2014 as the Chief Operating Officer with over 25 years of leadership in the greater Washington, DC region commercial real estate industry. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer and member of the board in November of 2015. Prior to joining First Potomac Realty Trust, the candidate served as President of Spaulding & Slye Investments, a comprehensive real estate services and investment company that is a wholly owned subsidiary of Jones Lang Lasalle (NYSE: JLL). He managed Spaulding & Slye’s portfolio of assets, headed the investment committee, developed the company’s investment portfolio strategies, oversaw investment management and sourced new business opportunities. The candidate served as Regional Director of Archon Group, LP, an investment arm of the merchant banking division of Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS), where he spearheaded the asset management of $2 billion for their merchant bank, special situations group, and other parts of the firm, in addition to generating investment opportunities. He also previously served as a Market Managing Director for CarrAmerica Realty Corporation, a then publicly traded office REIT headquartered in Washington, DC, with primary responsibilities including overseeing asset management, development activities, portfolio investments and acquisition efforts. The candidate graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.

First Potomac Realty Trust (formerly NYSE: FPO) was engaged in the ownership, management, development and redevelopment of office and business park properties in the greater Washington, DC region. The company’s segments included Washington, DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia and Southern Virginia. The company’s portfolio consisted of a mix of single-tenant and multi-tenant office properties and business parks. The office properties were single-story and multi-story buildings that were primarily for office uses, and business parks consists of buildings with office features combined with some industrial property space. In 2017, Government Properties Income Trust (NASDAQ: GOV) completed its $1.4 billion acquisition of First Potomac.
