Managing Partner, Ernst & Young – Indianapolis, IN

The candidate most recently served as the Managing Partner of Ernst & Young’s Indianapolis office. He was also a member of the firm’s America’s Ethnicity Diversity Task Force. The candidate retired from the company in June 2017. He joined Ernst & Young in June 2002, and was promoted to Managing Partner in the spring of 2004. Prior to joining the company, The candidate spent 24 years with the Indianapolis office of Arthur Andersen. He joined Arthur Andersen in 1978, was admitted into the partnership in 1991, and became Office-Managing Partner in March 2000. The candidate was the first African American promoted by one of the big CPA firms to partner in the State of Indiana. His experience is broad, including small businesses, large multi-location corporations, and public companies, including initial public offering requiring SEC expertise. The candidate received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting where he graduated with distinction from Indiana University. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the Indiana CPA Society. The candidate is a former Commissioner of the Indiana State Board of Accountancy. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Vectren Corp. (NYSE: VVC).
