The candidate was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer in December 2015 after serving as Americold Realty Trust’s (NYSE: COLD) President and Chief Operating Officer since March of 2014. He originally joined Americold in February 2013 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining the company, the candidate served as a Senior Vice President with SUPERVALU, Inc., a leading grocery retailer and wholesaler supplying more than 4,300 stores. Before the move to SUPERVALU, Inc., he spent 10 years in senior leadership roles culminating as the Senior Vice President, Logistics and Purchasing at Borders Group, Inc., where he oversaw distribution operations, industrial engineering, logistics planning and purchasing. the candidate also spent a decade in senior logistics management roles with Newell Rubbermaid. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Science and Operations from Wright State University, and a Master’s degree in International Business from Northern Illinois University.
