The candidate most recently served as President – Hospital Operations of Tenet Healthcare Corp. (NYSE: THC). He was appointed to this position in March 2016. The candidate previously served as Chief Executive Officer of the former Texas region from April 2015 and as Market Chief Executive Officer of The Hospitals of Providence (formerly known as the Sierra Providence Health Network) in El Paso from September 2012. The candidate was the Chief Executive Officer of the former Dallas-area Lake Pointe Health Network from September 2010, where he previously held the positions of Chief Operating Officer and Director of Business Development after he joined Tenet in August 2004 as part of their MBA Leadership Development Program. Earlier in his career, the candidate was an industrial engineer and a material flow coordinator at Saturn Corporation, a former subsidiary of General Motors Co. (NYSE: GM). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
