Charlie Apfelbach

Charlie Apfelbach is a Senior Director in the Compensation Consulting group at Ferguson Partners, based in the firm’s Chicago office. Mr. Apfelbach’s primary area of focus is assisting privately-owned real estate companies with assessing compensation strategies and helping clients better understand the competitiveness of existing compensation programs. His work spans across all asset classes and various types of real estate platforms (e.g., private equity, developers, investment managers, family offices, owner/operators, etc.).

Mr. Apfelbach has extensive experience in the design and development of compensation programs that align with the company’s business strategy and organizational structure. His work has included conducting benchmarking analyses, short and long-term plan design, incentive compensation modeling, peer group development, and Board of Director compensation analyses. Prior to joining Ferguson Partners, Mr. Apfelbach worked as a Consultant in the Executive Compensation Consulting group at Aon.

Mr. Apfelbach earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Communications from Denison University. In his free time, Mr. Apfelbach enjoys golfing, Chicago sports, and traveling.
